How to Set Up the Drop-Down Armrest for a Side Transfer

  • Turn on the Configura chair and make sure it’s ready to use.
  • Set the chair’s rise angle to 2 degrees. This helps match the height of the bed, wheelchair, commode, or whatever surface the person is transferring from.
  • Once the heights are the same, gently lower the armrest.
  • With the armrest down and the surfaces level, the person can slide across smoothly for an easy side transfer.
