Duracare Universal Pivot Sling with Head Support
Pivot slings are designed for use with hoists fitted with a pivot frame and allow the patient to be lifted in either a seated or lying position, making them ideal for bed and floor transfers. The unique pivot with anti-lock mechanism allows the frame to rock back and forward to assist with correct patient positioning, while the spread attachment points prevent excessive hip flexion for greater comfort, particularly for larger patients. Available in polyester fabric for everyday use or mesh for bathing and wet area applications.

About pivot slings
Pivot slings attach to the lifting frame via keyhole buckles and are suitable for most lifting operations including bed to chair transfers, toilet transfers, washing and floor recovery. The pivot frame keeps the patient's legs together, avoiding overly flexed hips and the discomfort that can occur with a yoke type spreader bar. They should not be used for horizontal lifting or as a standing aid.
